The achievement's description states: "Find Flying Lesson nodes near the tears to call your skyscale to you."Now, on Desert Highlands, for instance, I could not find anyting near nor far from the Flying Lesson spot.
I have completed the sky scale flight mastery track but I can not use the sky scale outside of the SOTO map. I recently got back into the pve/story side of the game. I didn't want to go the Path of fire route for the flying mount and figured this flight training mastery method would work out. Ple
(Throw in the issues with updrafts, mushrooms, etc. instantly draining the skyscale's flight bar, of course you don't see them often in certain areas—it's not fun falling like a rock!) The skyscale isn't for everyone the same way the skimmer isn't for everyone, and it has more of a learning curve than other mounts. That doesn't make it bad.
Here's a potential solution to the Skyscale: Keep the Green Flight bar only for when you reach past a certain altitude that breaks the map, add invisible walls to every map so you don't break it, and make the Skyscale twice as fast as it is now while in flight, but not faster than the Gryphon at full speed.

Yes, but the skyscale also has its own areas where it outperforms other mounts. By also incorporating the skyscale, it makes travel even more optimal by a wider margin. EDIT: And not just travel, but the ability to fly above enemy aggro is just too convenient. Edited January 3 by BlueJin.4127.
