Fenix3 buttons not working [DEVICE] My buddy gave me a Fenix 3 as he has a newer version. Took my grand daughter to pool and now buttons do not respond with exception of the light button. I can hold down to reboot but that's it. Multiple reboots and no change. Waiting for battery to completely drain to see if that does anything.
The backlight has been flickering on my Fenix 6X for a month and now it does not work at al. Also when i press the light button it makes a different sound to all the other buttons. Like a dull beep and not a sharp beep like the other buttons. The watch is becoming unusable now as i can only see the screen in good daylight. Is this a software

Poor quality, especially with the buttons, is totally normal for Garmin. It may be that you have to exchange your watch 4 times before you get one without defects. Vizi 4 months ago in reply to Bumskopf +1

With the watch powered off, h old the two right buttons, and , while turning the device on by pressing and releasing the light button. Wait for an audible beep and release the button. Wait for a second audible beep and release the button. Not needed to try it on a F6.
Start/stop button behaviour. On my recently purchased fenix 6pro the start/stop button has different feedback than the other buttons. It can be pressed down with 2 stops where the first one does not initiate anything. For pressing it further down one needs to apply more force than for pressing the other buttons, and it has a more audible
Same issue here, after owning the watch for two weeks now. 'Down' button is not clicking anymore and a bit more effort is required, however it still does work. It's a bit annoying, and I am not sure if this is going to get worse over time. We will see.. I returned my Fenix 5 after GPS and ANT+ issues and got a 935, which I am extremely happy with.

Backlight Settings Not Working. amb67 over 1 year ago. I've just purchased the Fenix 7X and seem to be having issues with my Backlight. During the day all is great, it's bright and wrist gesture works perfectly. At night it only lights up very dimly, around 5% would be an estimate. Yet all my settings show 50%+.

Wash it. Use warm, soapy water and leave it to soak for a little while. Then press the button a bunch of times while it's under the water. It's probably built up dust or salt from your sweat between the button and the case. reckn • 4 yr. ago.
