Hey, Opened my door and got in then pulled door closed and it just bounced back open, the catch wouldn't come down, after a bit of manipulation it came down and the door is now closed however it will now not open from the inside although it will open from the inside.
If I need to get a replacement part is it the the door lock for tha pax front door the part I require. Does this have a motorised unit included that locks the door or should I be looking at something else. Or could it be another part in the car that has the problem?

Hello, I have a Mondeo 03 plate. the rear hatch back door is refusing to lock. there is a slight noise from the lock area if the remote is pressed but otherwise nothing.I have tried latching the lock with a bar that is the same diameter as the catch in the boot but it just keeps opening with no resistance.

I found replacing the lock fairly easy, and only paid £20 for the bit. You will need a lock from the equivalent door on the donor car. If you look behind the hoop on the car body the lock engages with, you should see a button. This tells you what type of lock you have, without taking anything apart.
