For Armor-You can get ascended armor by raiding (a meta started exotic set is all you need to start, trade the raid currency directly for gear boxes) playing PvP (cashing in your shards/marks earned thru reward tracks), WvW (doing exotic armor reward tracks and upgrading the armor to ascended status), and of course through Crafting. Because Rings have up to 3 Infusion Slots each. The 5 (Backpiece, Accessory, Ring) Accessories account for 9 Infusion Slots, Weapons account for 2, and Armor accounts for 6. You can also get ascended armor from Icebrood Saga Strikes just as easily as LWS3/LWS4 trinkets, but the time it takes is definitely longer. It takes a while to learn everything and proceed up the tiers, but it's generally worth your time if you like combat in the game. Once you're doing CMs+T4s daily, you can use fractal currency to buy the 2 mystic clovers from the vendor. All the other ascended gear is easy to get. You're also not taking into account some of the highly valuable items that came in the Chests of Black Lion Goods. Some people do, yes, but is the average player really going to spend gems or real money on Black Lion Salvage Kits, Mystic Forge Stones, or Black Lion Chest Keys?

Ive hit 80, and got some full exotic gear on my necro. Now i want to slowly work towords ascended and watched multiple video saying: oh you can get trinkets here, helmets there and weapons at another whole different place. (Or im dumb and didnt search good enough). So my question: Is there a way to get full ascended in just 1-2 gamemodes. Posted May 16, 2022 (edited) Fastest way for a new player would be to farm gold and then craft them. Living story maps for the trinkets. Fractals won't work because you need ascended in order to slot agony resistance infusions and you wouldn't have access to the higher tier groups in the LFG.
The Only other way to get laurels is from Achievement Chests, which in the upper boxes, give a decent amount. It is a nice supplement. In regards to equipment: Yes, Amulets are bought with Laurels exclusively. Rings drop in Fractals, at even levels, 10+. So, if you open up level 20, you will get 2 chances a day at rings, 30, you get 3 chances.
