This field cannot be filled for Epics, but can be shown in the field list. But if you were creating an Epic, then you should see "Epic Name" next to it, and when you are in the create window, you would see a warning
Hi @avijayaragunathan - Just navigate to the child issue you want to delete and delete it under the 3 dots menu. I did not find any delete option here. Do you know any other way to delete issue/child issue? Check the permission scheme for that project to see who has the ability to Delete Issues.
How to remove an epic without issue number? Someone from my teams managed to create a new epic, but this epic has no issue number. They contacted me for help. The epic still has a link but when I click on the link it takes me to the project board. Any ideas how can I delete it? An Epic is an issue in a project. It therefore gets a unique key based on the project and a sequence number. As you create more, the sequence number simply increases. The number you have, whether deleted or not, Jira simply generates the next number and allocates it to the new issue.
Once you plan is showing the field column, then you can go to the user story issue and click on the "x" button to remove the link to the Epic. Remember, you will need to commit your change, so it can be pushed back to the Jira project. Otherwise, it is only local to the AR plan. See attached image for your reference -.
The name of your epics. Although some issues may be hidden by your issue-level security, the epics they’re linked to can be shown on the board or through the cycle time report. A team’s cycle time or deployment frequency. An issue/s typically hidden by issue-level security will be exposed, allowing a user to manually calculate these metrics.
Answer accepted. Most likely you don't have permissions in the project to delete. Even if you are a super admin, you may not have it. Go to the project's permission schema and ensure that the role or group you are on is the item "Delete Issues". Viewing the Cumulative Flow Diagram. Go to the project where your board is located, then select your board from the Board menu. Click Reports, then select Cumulative Flow Diagram. To refine the data shown in the report, click Refine report, and select the desired filters. To select a different timeframe, click the date range drop-down at the If the issue (Story, Feature, Epic) has the sprint updated after the sprint is closed, then the reports in Jira Align may not accurately reflect the reports. Changed issues after the sprint is closed may not show in the report for that sprint. When preparing to close sprints in Jira, you should remove or split unfinished stories and adjust 9ZiOq.
