I've just got a Tacx Flowsmart trainer so have started to use the Tacx Desktop App on my windows 10 laptop. The app connects quickly to the trainer with no problems. However, the app cannot see my Garmin Heart Rate Monitor which connects via Ant +. The app shows that Ant+ is available, I've checked HRM is working fine by testing against my Edge Hi, I use the HRM pro and have the same problem. It is just 8 months old now. I never opened the HRM until it stopped working. Then I just went to change the battery and found a drop of water on the battery. I have not noticed a crack yet, but will look closer now. Garmin Team suggest to try a factory reset of band with this method, that worked for me in my case : Remove the battery; Replace the battery by switching polarity for 20 seconds (battery upside down) Replace the battery (in the right way this time) and mount the sensor; Remove the HRM on watch and phone (Garmin Connect App) Wear the band So it seems I had a few activities with the latest firmware that were fine. The suggestion was to do hard resets/reboots of the devices and remove and then re-sync the HRM-PRO to the devices. I have been very happy with my HRM-PRO so far, just had two slightly glitchy activities at the start of this month. I am going to do the resets and see
Pretty sure a Garmin strap (such as the HRM Pro Plus) gets you the most metrics with a Garmin watch vs. going with another strap. You get vertical ratio, vertical oscillation and left/right ground contact balance. Not sure if you care about those but I like having the extra data. 3. mashuto.
Same here. HRM-Pro updated to v8.8.0. Everything worked fine before the update. Now my heartrate is erratic going from 200+bpm to 0 and so on - when connected to the F45 monitor via ANT+. My husband has the same exact strap and his works just fine, and he did not perform a firmware update on his. The HRM-Pro/Pro+ are, in fact, speed sources vis-a-vis treadmills. Full ANT+ specs: HRM-Pro Plus - THIS IS ANT. Acts as a footpod, running dynamics pod, and step counter in addition to being an HRM. I know it's a dead post, but since others may still want to know, I can say from the 255, you hold up, scroll to Sensors & Accessories, select HRM Pro+, then you can turn to Indoors or Always to track pace and distance only indoors or always. And you can choose for the HRM Pro-Plus to train distance or to not. moeringsen.

This is the reason why water, under any circumstances, or sweat can get in. Refitting the battery cover is a fiddly process to get right but it is possible. Garmin have addressed the problem that some people have with the battery cover with the HRM-Pro+ that has a twistable battery cover without any screws. As noted, the solution is to contact
